The last coronation
The coronation mantle was last used at the time of the crowning of Hungarian King Charles IV and Queen Zita on 30 December 1916. The coronation happened during World War I in the Buda Castle Church of Our Lady (Matthias Church).
A few days before the coronation, within the frame of the ceremony, Queen Zita added some stiches to the coronation mantle, thus honouring the work of Queen Gisela.
